Just watched the news, they are saying that 2 of the Force India team have asked to go home because of the incident.

Same here. But maybe its a crisis of conscience...they feel better not going as their guilt outweighs their commitment to the team?

To those who are fearing their safety...well, I don't know why they'd be so worried as to bail out since they are travelling with the team.

A few views on attending this race from inside F1....
F1 teams have refused to go on record condeming the race though privetely have expressed their concerns to Jean Todt and the FIA

Whitmarsh has playerd it down comparing it to road safety threats in India and crime in Brazil.

Autosport know of several companies involved in F1 worried about sponsorship (being connected with it). Its a possibility that some logos may be withdrawn from cars.

The only difference between freedom fighters and terrorists is the side of the fence you are sitting on!

In my view freedom fighters don't make threats against innocent people that have nothing to do with the current situation; in my mind, the 'freedom fighters' stepped over the line into terrorism when then started making threats of violence towards F1 personnel, to attempt to try to terrorise and scare F1 teams and personnel away from the event, poor form from Mr Ecclestone, and shame on the teams for not standing up for the safety of their team members and all the people in attendance at the event, next new GP to happen... Zimbabwe?

But they are fighting for their freedom so they are freedom fighters. I am sure the IRA have never killed innocent people and are still seen as freedom fighters to some.
