Just spent a solid 8 hours at my uni campus (in Wheatley Jab  ) doing engineering drawings. Fun. Now relaxing with a beer, :):):)

Ah I remember those times...I used ProEngineer for this. Spent about the same time to draw a Formula 1 car (as practice with the software) much to the amusement of my batch mates...who thought I had nothing better to do. Which at that time...I didn't. :hehe:

I remember doing this sort of stuff by hand when at college. Very slow, but I loved it.

I love sketching by hand but when you have to do properly accurate engineering drawings... sack that. Takes way too long for my patience.

Think i get to use that next year rapid prototyping racing wheel rims, should be neat :)

One of my mates did something similar doing an LMP car on CATIA just for fun, i thought he was nuts spending the amount of time on it he did for no real reward! :P

Today I wore the only shoes I have that aren't waterproof. The it rained like there's no tomorrow. Typical.

Went to the museum to check out a Van Gogh exhibit, no pictures allowed of that. I did manage to take a special picture for you DD.

How was it WB? Jealous! :D

I went to a Matisse exhibition in Brisbane last December and no photography allowed, same deal at the National Gallery London when I was there.

Went to a Saatchi Gallery exhibit here which I was doing a spread on, assumed no photography allowed so didn't bother. Later found out I could have :banghead:

Is it not something to do with the that repeated flashes can cause damage to the more delicate of paintings? It's not uncommon in art galleries to have flash photography prohibited.

Didn't know there were this many art fans on our forum. :)

No flash allowed, I called ahead just to check. The lighting inside is good enough that if you've got a 1.8 aperture lens, especially with today's VR technology, you can do fine. Frankly I think it has more to do with them keeping an exhibit exclusive, because it wasn't only the Van Gogh exhibit they didn't allow pictures in but other modern art exhibits they had going on. I was ecstatic that I got to see Degas' The Little Dancer. I've seen Van Gogh plenty of times before. The Philadelphia Museum of Art is quite respectable. I can't believe I'd never gone previously though.

Only one Matisse on display which I was a bit bummed out about but they did have a pretty impressive Marcel Duchamp collection. The Van Gogh was good, but they weren't able to gather any of his self portraits or any of the Roulin family portraits, or any of the Starry nights. I guess it's tough to put a very complete display since he was such a prolific painter.

And again, a special one for you DD.
