As a person who lives and works in London, all I can say is that travelling on public transport is going to be a MASSIVE ARSE.

There is no way the british will come anywhere near breaking even for hosting this.We are useless and will find a way of things costing double what they should to buy/build.
I bet the stadium was millions over budget just like the dump that is wembley.

Waste of tax payers money. I won't be watching any of it.

What a surprise, Andrew doesn't like the Olympics.

Edited to remove insult, and swearing

Its not just London. To get to work, I have to travel past the Rowing Lakes in Dorney that will be used. Going to have to find a different route.

But hey - these things happen...

The thing I love most about the Olympics is..... Lisa Simpson giving someone a blowy!

Andrew. I'll ignore it like I ignored the last one. If you can't tell my post was a joke, there is nothing more to say.

Glad to hear it.

I'll make a note to insult anyone I don't like but tell them it's ok, it's a joke.

Now back to the topic in hand........

What's amusing is that I just read this in another thread about clearly jokes being misunderstood;

I went into an F1 chatroom during the race. Ain't doing that again in a hurry!

Now I've got to go to work. Bah! :irked:

Andrew, for goodness sake, you made a fool of yourself! :(

Did I heck! Not my problem if one of the brass is stuck up his own diffuser and can't take a joke (though I noticed him dishing it out).

Y'all should have been on here anyway. The chatroom here use quite good at times last year but the number of users was too low.

Bursting into the chatroom and calling Lewis Hamilton a tw*t is not the greatest impression one can make to the oter participants! :hehe:

It wasn't like that and you know it! I said that I doubt God would support a tw*t like Hamilton in responce to someone saying thank God and it was clearly marked as a joke. Then I got moaned at for my language despite others using actual swear proper swear words. So he thought it was ok for him to be sitting there laughing at the misfortune of Massa yet when someone said something minor against who he supports it got out of hand (moderator created drama of the highest order) - I don't really want to be a part of that sort of place. I thought it best to duck out lest I upset the over sensitive one too much. :hehe:

Ah, but I didn't insult anyone. Just the driver they seemingly passionately support. Therein lies the difference.:hehe:

This is an Olympic thread. Let's let this sabre-rattling cease, seeing as the transition to PMs was woefully unsuccessful! :P

Shall we return to London 2012? :spin:
