Brundle was preemptively thinking Lewis was going to do the zig zag he did a couple years ago with a "agh no Lewis" but stopped once he stuck to the right and said "he made one move and would argue he was only trying to break the tow" pretty sure that's close to word for word for Brundle :hehe:

He's done this before and then changed his mind when he's had the full facts before him(good on him for admitting his error in those cases) But commentators should be very careful about suggesting drivers are infinging the rules during a rcae, they could influence decisions. After the race, when they are in full possession of all the facts, replays etc, thats a different thing. Fortunately on this occassion the stewards saw the incident more clearly and didnt even see fit to question it.
I must say so far stewarding has been better this year, not because of that incident, but because over the three races there have not been the silly decisions that hamper racing. Lets hope that continues. A bit of common sense.
Tell that to Narain Karthikeyan! ...erm he had to start from last in China.

You're right. That was poor. So not a near 100% record then. But much less interfering I feel. Quite good but room for improvement :D

Sorry, i don't buy this at all. the stewards don't need commentators to do their job, they know exactly what they are doing and get to see every possible questionable offense from many more angles.

They were all over schumi at monza 11' and nothing came of that.

It's an ambiguous rule anyway, the spirit of the rule is clearly set up for the incident we saw with Schumacher last year, they just don't want anything excessive that forces the other driver to take "evasive" action.

Lewis did not block, a block constitutes a car behind making a passing move while the car in front moves across in front of him.

Lewis moved across to break the Tow, this is not a block. Seb followed him, he made no overtake attempt, it would have been pointless on such a long straight to make a pass there, thus the front camera view distorting things. Where Lewis moved is not a passing area, passes are usually made into braking zones.

What you're describing happened just a couple corners before! Seb moved to block Lewis then moved back onto the racing line.
This was far worse and technically against the rules.
yeah thats why i said Lewis MAYBE made an extra move. The last one was kinda unclear... I didnt care at the moment though and have not even watched a replay. But I guess it is what it was: nothing for the stewards to go further into

agreed. As if the stewards are watching the BBC/Sky feed in their box when they have dozens of CCTV's and on-board cams...

Lol, Sky and BBC don't have their own feed apart from when they go down to the pits in quali and in practice. Sky and BBC get the FOM feed.

You're right that they have other camera views though. But I suspect they're watching the main FOM feed like the teams and us at home.
