All Mercedes need to do is find a better balance in their car to help manage their tyres in the race, and everyone else is almost lost.

It's only April but I am calling it: Mclaren have got the constructor's championship in the bag. They are going to run away with it. Thankfully the driver's is going to be close!

This is good reading. :P

As long as Lewis keeps bagging those 3rd places, they've got a good chance :P

I could really see him making it three three's tomorrow, with Raikkonen and Button in front.

I wouldn't say either championship is over yet, McLaren looked untouchable in the first two quali sessions, but qualifying in China is much closer. I think this season could be a repeat of 2010 with an extra world champion in the mix! I am truly excited about F1 again this season, I kinda lost interest after the first few races last season!

I know what you mean; the whole of 2011 felt like one long, dreary victory parade for Vettel. With him just taking a break every fifty laps or so to jab his finger up my nose.

And I am really excited about this season too, we have a great chance of having three winners from the first three races. But I cannot see Mclaren falling away enough, or any other pair of drivers scoring consistently enough, for them not to take the Constructor's.

I think this season is far from over.

The big question is whether McLaren are fastest because they just have the best car. Or because they went conservative on the car. Which may pay dividends at the start of the season, but risks a conservative team being overtaken by other, more adventurous, teams as they sort their cars out.

if it's the former, then McLaren could keep their edge throughout the year, and win both titles. if the latter, then McLaren needed a bigger lead in the early races, and things could change throughout the year.

We'll find out.

Hmm. It could also be that other teams produced a dog in their quest to be adventurous, and that by the time they sort their cars out it will be too late.

But you are right, we'll find out. It is so early that we will not even remember this conversation at the end of the season. And if some other team take the title, I will be the first person to put my hands up and say, "I told you! I said that Ferrari would win it, back in April."

I think it will be Lewis, Raikonen or Webber for the win.

It's very hard to call. The first few laps ought to be quite intense, as numerous people will be doing their utmost to make up for a poor qualifying, namely Seb and the McLarens. I think the Mercs have a huge challenge on their hands to retain that lead. Kamui Kobayashi will be one to watch, especially at the first turn. If he gets a decent start then we could possibly see some exciting moves taking place.

The set-up is great, we're set for a rip-roaring race, and I cannot wait. Is everyone going to be watching it live? My alarm is set. :)

Weather is looking interesting, very cool temps, between 63°F and 65°F and 10% change of rain... sadly I see JB struggling in these conditions, he admits having trouble getting heat into his tyres!
