Am I not allowed to be happy that ultimately Massa was faster than Alonso for once?

Jeeze, some people...... :banghead:

no, no; you misunderstand. Im not slating you for wanting to be happy for massa - I would be too.

I just dont see how he was faster? He wasnt? When Massa got that fast time, Alonso got a faster time.....

Im only trying to understand Andrew. You are to quick to jump on the defensive. Afterall this is a 'discussion' forum.

KOBAYASHI STARTING 3RD GET IN :clap::clap:

I just can't see the Mercs having the race pace despite that stunning lap from Rosberg. But that said, an interesting strategy prediction i saw that gives 4 stops as only being 8 seconds slower than 3, with 2 and 3 stops almost giving indentical race times (0.3s difference haha), so that really leaves many avenues open.

If McLaren want to win they need one of the drivers to get a good start to avoid the traffic.

Pleased with the guys on row 2 though  if one of em gets a podium that'd be awesome, if both that'd be dreamland! And i think that is not impossible!

It's hard to predict a winner but bloody hell the podium is almost impossible to predict! Not expecting to score much on the F1 pool :hehe:

Weather supposed to be cool tomorrow, but dry...

Yeh, i really have no idea on that!

PS my dark horse is Webber from 6th, with a very good race car. But i think Hamilton will win.

This season has "classic" written all over it, it's so close between McLaren, Mercedes, Lotus, Sauber, Red Bull with Ferrari and Williams in the mix. I can't wait to watch tomorrow's race!

I'm trying to work out who will win.

The Mercedes are likely to lack race pace, I think a podium is possible, but a win might be too much of an ask.

The Sauber has been working well, and if Kamui keeps his nose clean, he could in with a shot at the win.

Raikkonen is an old hand, and despite my predictions pre-season, he's hit the ground running. He's got to have a chance. How big? No idea.

Button? This is the kind of unpredictable race where he can do quite well, and despite their mysterious poor pace in qualifying, I think the McLaren is still the fastest car. But you can never discount McLaren going for some weird strategy that drops him to the back of the field from which he has to fight to get near the points.

Hamilton? Again he has the fastest car, and he's good at this track. Probably the most likely winner, but I wouldn't rate his chances as higher than 50/50.

Webber? He's already been tipped here as a possible winner. But, he's behind the McLarens on the grid and overall the McLaren still has the edge. If he's going to win this one, he's going to have to fight for it, or perhaps benefit from unexpected poor strategies.

Perez? Could be fast late in the race if he can stay in touch with the leading group. But I think that natural spreading out of the field will put him a way back.

Alonso. If he wins from that far back in a car which sadly is still not on the pace, he is a racing God.

But any of these could win without needing Olivier Panis style benefitting from carnage.

Too cool and we may be seeing a Mercedes podium! This year's pool game is so much tougher than last year! :hehe:

 and with Rosberg 1/2 a sec clear
How's that for an eye opener.

Cool to see Kimi getting back into shape. Kobayashi also...
Massa was at least not too dissapointing, so hopefully he picks up from now on.

Stocking up on beer for the race tonight :) I have the feeling it will be more strategic than action packed... not bad though. With all the possibilities, the final result should be really interesting.

I can't understand why Alonso was 1.5s off pole, when in Q2 he was pretty much on the pace.

I think he used scrubbed options for Q3 and kept a fresh set for the race.

It's a great grid, it's all been mixed up somewhat, and on genuine pace. The way the Perellis seem to work means practically evey race is like a wet race without the sliding and crashes.

Really good from Rosberg and Kobayashi, but I think Kimi might be the most likely for the win, although the Sauber also has solid race pace.

At least the circuit has a lot of run off should Schumacher run Rosberg off the road.

I'm hoping the McLarens can make good getaways tomorrow, to help surpass some of the cars in front. Taking into account the lightening starts we saw from the Woking lads in the two races prior, this could well be repeated tomorrow. Only this time, it won't be from the front row.
