Could be a leak and they can tell how long it would last before seizing uP. I saw they did tell Lewis he was slower in a straight line than Jenson in today's Ps, could be because of his gear box.

How do you say that? If his gearing isn't optimal then ofcourse it would.

In a straight line the only difference really that could affect top speed could be front wing angles. I doubt they'd have very different ride heights.

If his gearing isn't 100% it could cause his ratios to be off which would explain his lower top end speed.

From looking at the times, it appears that McLaren and RBR remain the faster teams. Merc seem fast, but they've seemed fast before, and then faded in the race.

The thing that'll be interesting come qualifying, will be if RBR have made any gains or not?

The gearbox apparently has a crack in it that could compromise reliability,
but showed no signs of weakness as Hamilton topped the wet-dry practice session at SIC.

They should still change it...its so early in the season and a guarantee of some good points outweighs the risk of a DNF and no penalty IMO.

1 gearbox is supposed to last how many races again? 4? They keep changing this sh*t every year I can't recall now.
