Can't believe this thread lasted 8 pages.

:rofl::yes:

I was just thinking the same thing before clicking on it. Shows even the most stupidest threads can last long when we're all missing F1. :P

Pedro De La Rosa in FP2 less than 4.4 seconds off quickest time, and ahead of one of the Marussia's... Within a second of the Caterham's too. As predicted, they have improved, and not yet at the first European round when they'll likely improve again. I'm going to stick my neck out and predict that they'll be finishing ahead of Marussia again in the WCC this year. Certainly they are not the disgrace that some seem to have suggested previously in spite of their usual pre-season problems...

They havn't even been close to scoring any points though have they? Neither has Virgin/Marussia. At least Lotus/Caterham are moving forward.

This year, neither has Massa nor Rosberg in markedly better machinery. :yes:

And? They are regular points scorers throughout a year. HRT and Virgin/Masrussia have not improved since they entered F1 and are constantly at the back - Lotus/Caterham are improving fast compared with these 2. They even struggle to have a car ready for the first race!

These new teams should be given 3 seasons to prove their worthy of a place in F1 and then be chucked out if they are still not improving.

Until Caterham beat a Toro Rosso or Sauber or Williams or Sahara Force India in the WCC, they've done absolutely NO improvement since they began so I'm not sure what standards of measurement you're using to come up with that opinion. I respect your opinion, but it's just that an opinion, my opinion is otherwise.
