Today I made a pigs ear of parallel parking... not had to parallel park in almost two years and it shows, at least I realised it was going all Pete Tong before getting fully into the space!

Im just about to play a 4 hour session on F12011 on the Xbox....

(glad no-one from here works with me - probably not the best way to spend a working-from-home-day)

I lied, I got distracted by Forza4. And this car in particular.....

I worked. By the looks of things I'm the only one here that does! It's like the DSS on here! :hehe:

You sell out, you used to be cool!

Actually, speaking of jobs, I quit mine on Tuesday.

So I'll have 3 days next week when I too am a jobless bum. :hehe:

Anything else in the pipeline?

Become a drunked bum and spend my days shouting at traffic - oh wait, I've already been a student once.

Yeah, I should have a new job starting a week on Monday. Much the same thing but better pay, overtime rates, better prospects for moving up for being good at what you do and better hours. I'll just have to behave myself and have no more 2 wheeled forklift antics (not a nice experience!) and no more driving like a man possessed. And I'll maybe get to see some pretty interesting bits of engineering kit for going offshore.

Hopefully my record of emptying a double deck trailer of 44 pallets in 40 minutes will not be beaten (I was driving using the force though).:hehe:

I'd expect NOTHING LESS of you! :hehe::wink:

All the best with the new job mate :)

I could do that in seconds, a quick turn doing about 50mph would unload it in but a moment.

Cheers Lew. Strangely, the management have been ok about me leaving and I'm being treated like a human at the moment (some of their people skills leave considerable room for improvement at times). It is rather unsettling.

How's your job prospects going? Still scratching around or have you found something yet?

That's cheating that is. Incidently, I did tell a driver to do much the same thing today as he had to wait to get into the yard whilst some people were learning to play forkies. He was up for it but we thought better of it in the end. :hehe:

Bits and bats at the moment. Since the schools tour last year, I've been doing a few short films... some paying well, some not so, but that is to be expected at this stage and at my age. So I'm keeping a toe in the water.

Just need a little something to bring in that extra cash, a normal job on the side. Getting closer to securing something I think, there are a number of possibilities, but I'll just go with whatever's available first. It's been a testing and tedious process trying to find flexible work, sometimes even seriously depressing, but the fight goes on.
