It does look like the car is flattering the drivers at the moment and not the other way round so I have to Agree with Geetface that if they'd kepy Vitaly he would probably have put in some sound results by now. Grosjean has a cute smile though.

Grosjean is a BEAST in qualifying, just needs to remember there are no flashbacks in real life and being a tryhard on the first 3 laps won't work.

Kimi just has had unlucky qualifying sessions, when he gets the car in the top 6 he'll get podiums with ease.

Grosjean's master plan was do do all the impressive stuff on lap 4.

Not really sure what the basis for assuming Petrov would have done better so far is, once these two get sorted it'll be all good, they have better and more importantly more proven records than him for starters... Raikkonen's excellent pace in both races so far and especially at the end of Malaysia on top of the evident one lap potential in the team is a good sign :) Lambasting Grosjean for race incidents so far is a ridiculous precident to set for how he can do in the season ahead, look at Vettel and his first lap incidents in '08!!

Ferrari can improve but that isn't really a given and the timescale for that doesn't really seem short term, and i would expect that once Mercedes' innovations are emulated they're gonna only backwards, especially given their tyre problems, for which there is no easy fix.

Grosjean just has a tough luck, that's all... Vettel had it too, in 2008, and yet he won in that year. Don't write Romain off.

I ain't writing anybody off...just saying petrov would have like 20 points by now :twisted:

I think Petrov would definately be ahead of where Gross-John is or would have seen at least one checkered flag. Not so sure about Raikonnen though.

HAHA I like it!

I'm not convinced Petrov would have done better than Grosjean, and it's laughable to think he's as good as Kimi. That doesn't mean the better driver gets more points every time though.

Maybe. Petrov was running in 5th at malaysia in 2011 before he hit that :censored: bump 5-6 laps from the end of the race, and the podium in australia as well, so it'd be close. I'm sure raikkonen would have comparable amount of points without the foul up at qualifying in melbourne.
