Why are Pastor Maldonado and Daniel Ricciardo JUST NOW getting braces?

Clearly their families had plenty of money to invest in their racing careers, so it's not like lack of funds was an issue, right?

No fortunately, it's not from experience. I never really needed braces. My nashers were perfect from the word go!

I doubt it is to do with vanity.

From experience, there was a possibility of me having to get a brace a couple years ago due to my wisdom teeth causing a couple of my front teeth to be pushed slightly out of their correct position. However, having a brace would only be a short term solution until my wisdoms can be removed. Could be something similar with them as they are only in their early 20's. Can't understand why anyone would choose to have a brace fitted - they ain't too comfortable.
