I watched it a dozen times or so, the first seconds that is. And it sure looks like NK is moving to the right (instead of staying in his racing line to the left) after SV passed him and thus, drove into SV with his front wing. Hence the penalty from the stewards.

He did move right and he admitted that in his interview and the reason why was because he was on the white line and considering how much it had been raining if he hadn't turned right he most likely would have spun the car, Vettel thought he was passed which is fair enough and so didn't even attempt to give NK room, basically both were at fault unless you seriously believe NK should have spun/crashed his car purposefully instead of trying to recover.

NK moves quite a bit to the right, not just to get off the white line.

oh thank goodness for this video clip...

Vettel is at fault? What are you smoking?!

I admit I remembered it a little differently.

Tough call, that. I don't think I'd put 100% blame on Karthekeyan. But at the end of the day, a 20 second penalty on an HRT is nothing to really argue about.

Yeah completely. NK's fault. Thank goodness the stewards don't listen to the commentators.

Vettel is still a racing God! All hail Vettel!:bowdown::bowdown:

Ok... was that a bit too soon?

I still think, however, that Vettel should apologise to Kathikeyan for that "idiot" remark.

Me too.

I guess I'll revise from 100% NK's fault to 98% of the blame. Thanks DD for the video!

Vettel comments about cucumbers show him in a very poor light.

I just saw this:

(01:09 to 01:16)

What an arse..., especially on account of it being Vettel's fault as near as I can tell from where I sit. From my sofa it appears as though Vettel had simply moved over into him, so I guess Vettel's right in that there is an idiot driving there; he's driving for Red Bull.

Did you see DD's video? Thats why Vettel called him an idiot. Not saying what Vettel said was right, but he was right. NK's fault there

BTW this race just made me even more frustrated with F1 today...in the 90's this weather would've been considered 'challenging' at most. Red flagging a race when they had wet tyres on? Ridiculous decision. What, Pirelli doesn't know how to get monsoon tyres working?:thumbdown::thumbdown:

I agree with this, Bridgestone do probably make better wet tyres than Pirelli do. China 2009 was pretty simular conditions to what is was when the race was red flagged but they kept racing back then. Also in the late 90s around the Schumacher v Hakkinen days, didn't Bridgestone have inters, wets and then a heavy/extreme wet tyres for when the track was like a river?? I think there was, but could be wrong.

I am seriously pissed off about sauber. Perez should have pulled an alonzo and told his team to shut the f*** up and let him race,

He didn't need them.

He was flying and I have no doubt he would have smoked that ferrari, what a shame.

Overall great race!

Maybe he did, and ran the car off the road because of it.

We have no idea what happened there.
