It's been a while since Jean Todt took over as the FIA's president. Time to evaluate his performance, don't you think?
I noticed that he's hardly ever in the headlines unlike Max Mosley used to be. Seems like JT is more of a doer behind the scene, less of a flashy attention whore. But is the quality of his leadership up to snuff?

Hmmm. I'll have a long think about this one.... interesting. :scratchchin:

I hardly think about Jean Todt any more... he's very much a behind the scenes man!

Can anyone list anything that JT has done?

My thoughts exactly, his lack of public personae leaves little information as to his achievements.

Being a diligent Rissoles, I googled the boy only to have some 2010 article about him holding hands with Michelle Yeoh (who?) and a 2011 article about Bahrain come up... and not much else.

At least we got scandals with max

I hated MM with a vengence!! Didnt like P P P er Jean Todt much either. Like people have said , lately he's gone quiet, so on the basis of 'least detestable' I'll have to vote for P P P er Jean Todt. (Though my vote is without the 'by a country mile ' bit attached)

He's following Moseley's plans for cost cutting but in a quieter and more compromising way.

In-season testing being reintroduced for example, but only being allowed one, whilst the pre-season test days have been reduced.

Legalised team orders, quieting all the outrage about that.

He's supported a (return of a) French GP as well I think.

F1 seems to be going quite well at least. The only problem is the smaller teams struggling massively for cash, and some circuits too, of course these are symptoms of the amount of money Bernie glazes off from the sport.

Although I think Todt could get to work on f1's image, to make it (and teams) more attractive to sponsors. The cars are incredibly fuel efficient I believe.

Not sure how other FIA regulated motor sports are doing, although the feeder series seem to be doing ok.

So far I prefer JT.

I see his role as a movie director. MM on the other hand always wanted to be some sort of superhero and ended up pissing everyone of.

The director of a show is supposed to make sure the shows are good, and so far F1 is pretty good to me. I don't really give a damn what's happening behind the scenes as long as I can eat my popcorn in a good mood.

Jean Todt has made some changes, and good ones, but doesnt see the need to be the centre of attention 24/7 like his two predecessors.

When something has had to be done, he has worked with the other FIA rulemakers to make a good decision, unlike Mr. Balestre who famously said this:

In the end, I simply plumped for Todt. There was just too much bad press and anxiety surrounding the Moseley days.

I kinda do support the closet freak MM. For some reason people think it's a bad thing. It's like when there was a fire chief in my city who got caught banging a goat, everybody went nuts. I, on the other hand, said I want this man as our fire chief, because I know that if this guy had to f*ck a goat to save my life, he would.

Oh yeah this was a powerful scene in 'Senna', just saw it recently. Insane!! First documentary which actually got me close to tears as well, glad it did well in the nominations.
