Here's techy stuff...

:eek::eek: So which of those things in that chart is down to the drivers choosing their own set up...and which is inherent in the car design?

This is not an F1 specific list but it's pretty universal. You can't change things that are regulated... like the size of a wing or the size of a tire, but pretty much everything else is "adjustable".

I think if I was a racecar I would like to have more oversteer.

I'd rather have the maximum amount of grip possible and then just drive it however! :)

Didn't Patrick Head say years ago that if a young driver prefers understeer when they test them for the team it means they are not a racer.

Look at the greats who preferred oversteer:

- Ayrton Senna
- Michael Schumacher
- Gilles Villeneuve
- Juan Manuel Fangio
- Mika Hakkinen
- Lewis Hamilton (hehe)

The greats who preferred understeer:

- Alain Prost.
End.

I think this was more about trying to reduce the downforce loss with the restrictions on exhaust gases now. It's not like Lewis asked for his car not to have that feature in the first place.

So... who won the points awarded in testing this season???

Ferrari may wind up winning a few points in their extended testing that goes through until perhaps... Bahrain.
