Sounds like some people in these parts every time it snows. Heck, even a harsh frost sends some numpties panic buying as if it is the end of the world!

You'd think they'd be a bit more used to it in Scotland! The slightest speck of snow in London, and that's it. The whole Transport for London network implodes. :irked:

The locals are used to it but there are so many foreigners (the English) up here and we all know how Engelandshire grinds to a halt at the first snow flake with mass panic in the news. :hehe:

In other news, I got offered a new job today! :woohoo:

Well done mate! Good news. Is it still to do with forklifts, or are they firmly in the past?

In other news, I've spent too much money over the past 2 days. Not good. :irked:

You'd love it there, they do cavity searches on the way in and on the way out of work.

It's not finalised yet but I should find out tomorrow what the state of play is when my immediate boss is back from his week off. My current employer will probably be awkward and could potentially through a huge spanner in the works.

It's another warehousing/freight handling job only the pay is a hell of a lot better, there are more opportunites to go further it seems and I get my weekends and evenings back.

Gorgeous cloudless sunny day in the mid 40's and I keep wishing I had my car to go out for a nice drive. It's at the shop getting upgraded rear sway bar mounts, one was cracked and one was not installed in the correct location.

The only spoiler is that I won't be able to spend my Sunday afternoons watching F1 but I'm chuffed to bits to get weekends and evenings off (if all goes according to plan).

Yeah, but relatively, F1 is pretty meaningless.......

True that. The best thing is I'll be able to get back into some sort of routine seeing as I'll be working the same hours for each shift. At the moment my shifts are pretty random and having my days off seperated doesn't give enough of a chance to switch off and relax.

Hopefully I'll get sorted out with this new job by Tuesday.

I went to see a friend who's graduating from drama school perform in one of his final year shows yesterday. I then went for a good old rave in Camden Town and paid the price with a roaring hangover this morning.

However, never one to be defeated, I met up with another friend, walked off the hangover in the gorgeous sunshine that has graced southern England today, and then we cooked a roast dinner and played Monopoly. A very enjoyable Sunday indeed. :)

Watched the Manic Street Preachers gig from last years itunes festival. Good to see they can still belt out the old stuff with just as much feeling as they did 20 years ago.

Only ruined by the overzealous censorship! I can just about understand the usual naughty words, but let's face it by the time kids are in school they can swear more fluently than some of their parents. Seriously, blocking out words like "duckling" (from the lyric "Just like lungs duckling on air") and "pornography" (from the lyric "My idea of love comes from; A childhood glimpse of pornography") is a bit over the top. :irked:

Arrgghh the modern age of censorship and health and safety! I read a book recently called When I were a lad... by Andrew Davies. It had a lot of pictures in from good old days gone by. Children were actually allowed to get their hands mucky back then!
