Which driver do you spend most time with apart from Button...he answered AlonsoWhy does everyone mispronounce is surname? It's Humphrey, not Humphries. No disrespect, but it should be said right, right?with a grin on his face.

Lewis Hamilton says he is not thinking about starting the season with a race win but merely getting points on the board to kick-start a long 2012 season.
"It's a realistic aim: to score some useful points and use the race to kickstart our challenge for the world championship," said Hamilton. "That might sound like we're aiming low - we're not - but, at this time of year, it's good to remember that it's going to be a very long season. There's no point putting all your eggs in one basket - I'd love to win in Melbourne, sure, but there are 19 races afterwards, so it'll be important to get some points on the board. As long as I can leave Australia feeling confident that we have a car that's able to fight for the title, then I'll feel happy. It's as simple as that."

In 2011, if Lewis didn't crash, he would've finished ahead of Button. Yes, most of the accidents were his own fault but now it seems that Button is suddenly rated higher than Hamilton because, "He's the first team mate to ever finish ahead of Lewis in an F1 season." Quite a few things wrong with that statement. First and foremost, Button didn't outperform Hamilton on pure speed, he just didn't crash as much and didn't have as many outside distractions.
Second of all, let's look at the past. '07 - Alonso and Hamilton equal on 109 points, so that's a draw and some would say matching your team mate is pretty good, even if it was Lewis' first F1 season. '08 - Lewis won the title but against Heikki Kovalainen - not exactly the same calibre as Alonso or Button. The same in '09. And in '10, Lewis finished higher than Button.
Button is a world class driver, but he's never going to be better than Hamilton. I don't know why people are leaning more to Jenson over Lewis just because of last season. Create's a cool preview for the upcoming season I suppose.
