Yeah, worst of all was they kicked both of their drivers. Nick and Vitaly were able to get results from the car, based on their podiums in the first two races, so it is obvious to me that the car was the problem, not the drivers. I'm still irritated about all that.
Does anyone else get the sense that Lotus and Mercedes are going to be further up the grid than last year?
I think they most certainly have moved forward. Problem for them is that Red Bull, McLaren and possibly Ferrari (their so-called troubles have been far too heavily self publicised for my liking) have moved forward as well.
One thing that Lotus certainly won't want to repeat is the steady decline of form the team experienced in 2011. Podiums in the early season, and then fading backwards into the midfield wasn't a pretty sight.
