Have you seen the Foos Scotty?

Like 7 times now :P

REALLY want to see em when they tour this new album though!

Easily, Top 3 bands are: Tool, Puscifer, A Perfect Circle.

The Artist part is harder, since only 1 guy leads these 3 bands - Maynard James Keenan, God of Goth/Alternative :cloud9:

Try songs like Vicarious, Schism, Passive, The Undertaker, Counting Bodies like Sheep, The Humbling River, Lateralus, Judith, The Outsider....ok I'm done. :hehe:

The first two are easy.

R.E.M.
Manic Street Preachers.

Third one is tough. Radiohead probably. Or Massive Attack. Or Suede. (London Suede to Americans).

Manic Street Preachers - good choice Sir!

Hard to believe that Generation Terrorists is 21 years old this year. Still sounds good though.

For me it's:

Ella Fitzgerald
Bobby Darin
Adele Adkins [ever since I started listening to the radio again in the past few weeks]

I also quite like Bing Crosby, Elvis and Lighthouse Family... It is quite an odd playlist I have.

Favourite songs are: Summertime by Gershwin, Beyond the Sea and Mack the Knife by Bobby Darin. Also I like Fly Me To The Moon by Frank Sinatra. And lately I really like "Set Fire to The Rain" by Adele.

:-D

It's a beast of an album, sadly I was much too young to appreciate it back then. There's a few dodgy tracks in there but I wouldn't have it any other way!

I was a bit young back in 1992 too. Motorcycle Emptiness, Methedone Pretty, Condemned to Rock n Roll and You Love Us are immense.

Lol, yeah I immediately realised the second I posted that I'd forgotten to edit the links - you must have been bloody fast as I fixed them all within 60 seconds of posting!! :)

I've seen Smashing pumpkins live 4 times - 1996, 2000 (twice on the farewell Machina tour), then last year in their new form. The 2000 gigs were the most polished and perfect gigs I think I've ever been to - I personally think that Machina is one of the most underrated albums in that genre of all time. Last year was good, but a lot of Billy Corgan's newer material is very self indulgent, there was limited playing of old Pumpkins classics, so I can understand people that haven't listened to much of their newer stuff not having liked the most recent gigs.

They are playing at Adelelaide Oval this summer, fly on down :hehe:

Only just saw this :P Don't think the flight appeals, i'd love to go to Australia one day but man, i don't like flying (8 hours to Barbados in 2010 was hellish - the anxiety before taking off was hell), let alone for 20 hours or whatever it is! :hehe:
