I prefer Lotus's it's the most blended. Ferraris' is by far the ugliest and Redbulls makes it look like its from star wars.

Agreed... i think this Merc nose runs the Ferrari close though, the curved section at the front looks so odd against the bump

Does anyone "buy" the front wing f-duct explanation? It just seems to me that given the side of the opening and all of the ducting that would need to be integrated into the front wing, getting that flow through all of the turns and bends out to the flaps to stall the wing in a straight is not very practical. All while keeping some of the flow for it's intended purpose, driver and component cooling! We'll see as the season progresses, but as far as the idea made sense for the rear, the front just seems much more impractical to me.

Seeing as McLaren is the only one without it by definition they are far from plain. They stand out!

Stand out as being plain! It's a shame the L shapped side pods didn't catch on. I liked them.

Just because it's new doesn't make it better looking, doesn't mean it's interesting, once the novelty wears off its just going to appear plain ugly.

My interest has nothing to do with how new these are. I'm interested in the design solutions adopted by the teams. Ok?

I'm definitely getting used to this platypus nose malarkey, because I become more accepting as each car is released for the first time. This actually struck me as normal today

They are not the nicest looking things but ugly parts on F1 cars are nothing new. Just another evolution of F1 design.

The new Merc looks quite fearsome actually, and it's a car that needs to be as well. In fact, the longevity of this team's F1 participation may well depend on the performance of this car.

It looks as fearsome as Donald Duck, who is clearly the inspiration. Looks like a cut and shut job to me. They must be sponsored by Uhu seeing as the nose is obviously glued onto last years car. I facepalmed and my heart sunk to be feet when I saw the Merc.
