So i take it Mclaren Fan you are in favor of a breakaway series because that is exactly what will happen if the teams try to gang up on Eccelstone and the FIA. This device made by Mclaren will be sure to be vetted by the FIA to make sure there is no competitive advantage. Ferrari can't complain.

I am in favour of a Formula One World Championship run by an independent FIA and with Eccelestone dealing with whichever Grands Prix hosted, television rights etc. I am not in favour of a breakaway series, although I would tolerate one if I didn't think things could or would change. I cannot see a breakaway series happening for a couple of reasons. My idea would not lead to one, for all of the teams, with the exception of Ferrari, would be united. The FIA and Ecclestone would have to offer some concessions, which they've done before when drawing up the Concorde Agreement and its last renegotiation. There is no way Formula One could continue with Ferrari and a few nobodies. To be honest, I don't think it's asking a lot for some changes at the top in Formula One.
We are agaisnt the FIA in their current form and have said so 1000 time's, where have you been?

But how can we do anything? The FIA are not democratic so what do we do? I'll do it if you come up with a good idea because until it gets sorted the racing wont be real because the FIA will cook up a reason or a rule to overturn a result they dont like
But nobody's prepared to do anything about it. Formula One fans should get backbones and make sure these clowns know what we think. Any sport is nothing without its fans in the end. Simultaneously, the teams should get backbones and say they're fed up with seeing titles being won in court rooms or hinging on some rule the FIA milk to extremes or simply invent.

Fair enough. HOWEVER, that would require that teams such as, ehem, McLaren quit illegal activities. Any less corrupt FIA would have kicked them out, the team AND the drivers. Since the FIA is corrupted largely by money issues (BE), they eventually decided to leave the drivers in the competition because it's better for business (against the advice of MM I might add). So, the FIA's corruption and inconsistency go both ways.

Oh for goodeness sake McLaren do not engage in "ehemm illegal activities". One occassion one employ was in collusions with a dissillusionrd Ferari emploee. Ferrari there againn! Ferrari always attempting to bend the rules! Look at all the rule bending and corruption and see which team has nearly always got its paws in there! you are getting tiresome with these comments.

It's long been apparent that the fan's opinion's are not even considered and it's also apparent that we will most likely never have any say so, it's sad very very sad.

The fans opinion has never counted for much in most major sports and as long as there are bernie ecclestone type figures at the top then it never will
