Of course every moment I spent at Istanbul Park

But also when I woke up at the middle of the night to eat something and my dad came in the kitchen asking me :''Who do you think won the race?'' Me:''Of course Vettel. ''That's not correct. Now guess who'' Me,feeling good already. ''Huh,what?'' and then I made a few incorrect guess, then he told me :''Well,Button did.'' I was like ''Huh,what, yayyy!'' :D

For me the highlight was the Monaco Grand Prix - which I will call Vettel's gamble. I know I keep harping on about it but seeing how he would JUST be in front at the end of the DRS zone at the end of every lap was incredible. I really think he would've made it all the way to the end if permitted on those primordial tires!

That along with my ire at Hamilton for he his clashes with Massa and Maldonado. Yet I rate Hamilton's overtake of Massa in the tunnel as the best of the season. Massa crashed into the wall on his own - probably because he was surprised with Hamilton's bold maneuver, or he didn't want to brush with Hamilton again! It would even rival some of the best of all time in my opinion. I don't know if anyone else shares my opinion on this one.

And then the anti-climax that resulted because of the Red Flag was just typical of F1. But Vettel could not be to blame for that and it shouldn't make his win any less deserved. He was the best driver for that whole race. He showed that he could dominate even when the odds were against him - the team stuff up and Button's bewilderment that Vettel decided not to pit again! I loved it! And then Vettel spraying the guard with champagne!

Also the perfect display of defensive driving from Vettel at Catalunya the round before also rates very highly. And yes Canada where he showed how not to do it, although a brilliantly deserved win for Button. But I had pulled an all-nighter and was half asleep for most of that race! But this was my reaction: :curse:

Those two races and Monza which I missed are ones to add to the highlight reels for Vettel fans!

The tunnel at Monaco is a dodgy place when it comes to going side-by-side through it. This is because the "marbles" gather around the outside of the tunnel's curve, and these can throw a car out of control if the marbles are touched.

I remember back in 2004, we had a thrilling race at Monaco, and at one point Fernando Alonso tried to go around the outside of Ralf Schumacher's Williams through the tunnel. The same thing happened with the Massa incident, and he ended up in the wall. The race is also memerable for the same fate befalling Michael Schumacher, although a clash with Juan Pablo Montoya behind the safety car was the cause of that one.

Good memories. :) I was only 14 back then!

Hamilton's battle with Alonso and Webber at the Nurburgring...probably the most hard fought victory of the season and the best came out on top.

That!

Mr Bean.

and that!!

And being at Silverstone and catching lewis and Jens giving talk to fans in the pouring rain and the post race party.....specially when lewis came on :D

Yep, that was some brilliant racing between drivers from each of the top three teams. Edge of the seat stuff.

Has to be last lap, Canada. I was actually shouting at the TV and i rarely do that! :hehe: That was one of those races that finishes and you just think 'i witnessed a true classic there'. Only other times i've thought that (that i can remember) were watching Brazil '08, Hungary '06, Japan '05 and Spa '98.

Gotta be Sebastian Vettel's tyre failure at Abu Dhabi. I don't think anyone knows what caused the problem - we thought it was a puncture, but thinking about it I really don't think it was.

Anyhow, my memory goes like this:

Martin Brundle: And we've got Sebastian Vettel off with a puncture! Sebastian Vettel!
Me (whilst jumping up in the air): YES! YES! YEEEEES!
(I leave the room to call my friend to tell him the news)
Mum: You seem happy. What's happened?
Me: IT'S SEBASTIAN VETTEL! HE'S GOT A PUNCTURE! EITHER HE'S OUT OR HE'LL FALL REALLY FAR BEHIND!

I don't have anything against Vettel other than the fact that I got sick of him winning.

The other spectacular moment was Liuzzi's crash in Monza - that got me hooked on F1.
