See if you can spot the humorous line.

Two Iranian men were charged in connection with terrorist attacks in Bangkok on Tuesday.
One of the suspects blew his own legs off when a grenade he threw at police bounced off a tree.
Speaking on Wednesday the prime minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, blamed Iran for the blasts as well as another in India that targeted an Israeli diplomatic car.

Although I can see the irony of the OP's post, the situation in the Middle East just now is very worrying. I realise things have always been tense in this region, there isn't a moment in my 48 years on this Earth that there hasn't been some kind of tension between the Jews and the Arabs, but the current crisis has terrible implications for world stability. Should the Israelis launch a pre-emptive strike on Iran's nuclear facilities, a situation that is looking increasingly likely, I think it is entirely possible the aftermath could turn into a conflict involving NATO, the Soviets and China. I suppose it all depends on whether the superpowers have the stomach for all out war or whether it will be yet another 'sponsored' event like Vietnam and Korea. One things for certain, the potential spoils (oil reserves) up the ante somewhat :yikes:

It is a scary prospect. Ultimately I cannot see any of these idiots on either side ever getting over their religious squabbles. Religion is the bane of mans existence.

I couldn't agree more...

I don't mind religion, it's beneficial for some, and needed for others that have little else. I simply wish that all forms of religion would adopt a live and let live philosophy.

People have been killing each other in the middle east for thousands of years, it's unlikely to change in our lifetime, but education and integrating into a global community is the solution to the problems in the area, not continued wars, terrorism and persecution.

I understand all of that, just wanted to make sure everyone knew I'm not being insensitive, but that doesn't mean we can't laugh at a Darwin award nominee.

Religion and politics really don't get on much. They should be totally separate.

The middle-east is fraught with danger. Israel are the clear instigators as well. Hypothetically, even if Iran are building nuclear weapons - what gives Israel the right to say they can't, when Israel themselves have some? Very silly. Then of course, Iran don't even recognise Israel as a nation! Something's gotta give. People in power need to sit these two nations down and iron out their differences before it's too late.
