I hope I can have a reason to change my signature this year.

C'mon Team Lewson Butilton!

WIN!

Hm, let's see: who is younger than LH last year and then one of them will get 6 or more penalties this season? Fat chance! That title will stick for a while :P

Well, infact - all these guys are younger then LH.....

Romain Grosjean
Paul di Resta
Nicolas "Nico" Hülkenberg
Kamui Kobayashi
Sergio Pérez Mendoza
Daniel Ricciardo
Jean-Éric Vergne
Pastor Rafael Maldonado Motta
Charles Pic

So I would say, you never know....

I think he actually only got 4 or 5, but not one had decided to correct me, so I'll leave it up.

EDIT Maybe he actually did get 6, I remember making that sig before the season was over as a joke.

I wrote it as a joke in one of my posts, and you loved it so much you turned it into your signature. You're welcome.

I think the 6th one was earned by getting his 3rd warning which leads to the 3 warnings equals one penalty issued rule that was implemented last year.

Ok..let me save the day here.

Coincidentally I was in a bookstore catching up on some F1 magazines/news.

The two 'naughtiest' drivers of 2011 were Lewis Hamilton and Pastor Maldanado.

Lewis Hamilton - 9 infringements

Pastor Maldanado - 6 infringements.

Killem's signature is inaccurate. :D

Define infringements, there's a difference between a warning and a penalty.

I feel ashamed, I should change it.

I was thinking about that...hmm but he was definitely penalized for all wasn't he? Either by cash/penalty during the race aka Drive thru/docked places, what else.

Been reading an article about driving styles and how different drivers react to G-force, rotatotion and yaw. Apparantly its a grossly under studied area..Picking up tiny changes in the car ..or being able to drive round them produces big advantages in different areas. Dealing with oversteer has benefits in slow to medium corners (all styles do well in the fast corners). the great drivers over the years(Senna, Schumacher, Mansel) could work with oversteer, its what makes Hamilton amazing round Monacco and Vettel at quali. That said, when it comes to setting up the McLaren the team listen to Button(who cant deal with it) in the knowledge that Hamilton will probably adapt to any car and Button has only a small window he can operate well in. :yikes: Great plan Mclaren!

Read something about Alonso a while ago tho not sure where, he'll sometimes deal with oversteer by turning in too much for the front to handle so it loses more grip than the rear inducing understeer.

Strangely Alonso wasnt mentioned in the article...maybe because he's between the two extremes. Interestingly Kubica hates oversteer, that suprised me.
