Jenson has talked about the first day, here's part of it:-

"I'm much lower in the car, and the way the car is I can just about see out which I love. I love that position, so I'm well inside the car, feel like I'm part of it ......."

Doesnt bode too well for lewis does it! He was already having trouble with the mirrors, Now he wont be able to see out the front either! :yikes: Is this what jenson meant when he said the designers were listening to him?!

I think you've figured it out. Jense, the design team and Felipe Baby have been conspiring to ruin another season for Lewis. :hehe:

I think lewis is doing just fine to ruin his own seasons with out any help.

Disclaimer: I hope Lewis gets his head back in the game. I want my mclaren to be 1/2 1/2 1/2 the entire way.

Yeah, they used Felipe as a measurement...If Felipe's head was hidden 12 inches deep, that meant it was around eye-level for Lewis.

That white car looks good.

Second best looking car on the grid for the HRT boys, arguably first even.

It's last years HRT chassis. HRT and Merc are testing with 2011 chassis albeit their will be some '12 parts in there somewhere. Expect both of these to have duck bills soon.

Poor FM - more tangling since LH won't see out of his cockpit :P

It should be noted both Lotus and Force India did their shakedown on the 6th while everyone else did theirs on the 7th. Redbulls times were impressive for a shakedown day.

Sitting low in car is so important for a number of reasons.

Vision out of them is not a consideration, as long as the driver can see the tops of the tyres.....

Here is a link (in German) to a photo gallery of the teams exhaust solutions, which I think is far more newsworthy than the fugly noses.

Night races this year are going to be visually much more interesting.

McLaren and Ferrari both having problems with the exhausts overheating bodywork at certain points... Ferrari removed a section of the bodywork that was burning today (upper part of exhaust outlet, you can see what they cut out here). McLaren burning the floor just in front of the rear tyres (see here). Seems like these teams are trying to achieve something far more complex than most other teams are trying, even Red Bull's arrangement seems quite 'simple' at this stage.

Interesting note i just read is that Renault reckon they gained 10-20hp and a lot of reliability from the overrun ban...
