Depends what you class as 'paid' though. Of course the above list relates to actual salary, whereas all of them have various personal sponsorship deals and tie-in's that mean you can probably double-plus all of those figures for actual annual earnings. Not sure how easy it would be to get any confirmed totals that take all that into account though - I suspect pretty much impossible to get accurate information sadly as it would be very interesting to see the true earnings.

All the top teams seem to deal it out pretty much equally apart from.... ahhh yes, of course! :P

None of the other top teams... scratch that, teams PERIOD have such a massive gap in driver ability between the two drivers though...

I would venture a guess that MS is the highest earning driver once all the sponsor deals are factored in - his name recognition is priceless (and for everything else there is Master Card).

Way sponsorships does he have?

Just dug this up:

Old list, and I'm sure Tiger's fallen far from grace with sponsors since it was published. I'm sure MS has take a dip as well. What I'd be interested in is finding out what drivers like Kobayashi are making, I'm sure the sponsorship deals and other moneys paid from appearances and such are proportionally much higher than their F1 salaries.

Some drivers get huge point bonuses too, i think guys like the STR and Force India drivers would definitely be in that bracket...

I believe Hamilton is on around £25m per year including sponsorship, that's the figure i read when he signed his current deal circa 2008.

I find it odd that someone like Karthikeyan is on that list when it was widely accepted that he was paying out for that drive!
