Thats right boys, hide your faces of shame.

At least they may have a sense of shame, unlike Ferrari.

McLaren: new car faster than MP4-22

By Jonathan Noble and Pablo Elizalde Monday, January 7th 2008, 13:50 GMT

The McLaren MP4-23The new McLaren MP4-23 is already faster than last year's car, the team's F1 CEO Martin Whitmarsh said during the launch of the new machine.

McLaren unveiled the new car that they hope will allow them to fight for the titles after a difficult 2007 season, in which they lost all constructors points due to the spying scandal and saw Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen taking the drivers' title in the final race.

But Whitmarsh is upbeat about McLaren's chances for the upcoming season, claiming the new car is already up to speed.

"Everyone in Woking in our technology centre and Mercedes has had to work incredibly hard to produce this car, which we know is quicker than the car we raced in Brazil," said Whitmarsh during the event in Stuttgart.

"We have to have two cars testing this week. It is tremendous effort to finish the second car.

"Between now and the start of the season we will continue to develop the package, many components will evolve and change, and a lot more will be added to the car before the start of the season.

"We are committed to winning. We know how important is it to Vodafone and Mercedes. Everyone is excited about the new driver line-up. It will be a very exciting season.

"We know none of our competitors have stood still and we hope to be in a position to win races."

Great comeback.

It's the truth. If my team owned numerous race wins to the FIA, I would feel empty inside, like I didn't earn them, and have a paper bag over my head. Todt and his crew walk around the paddock bare faced and proud of it.

Oh so all those race wins you had when you were using the illigal "third pedal"...perfectly ok to celebrate the Title.

Only it wasn't actually illegal. I'll give you an example of something illegal: the Ferrari F2007's flexi-floor!

And they kept the points without which Kimi would not have had the drivers title.

They're not my drivers, they drive for the team that got shafted by the FIA. No Ferrari parts were found on the McLaren cars despie desperate attempts by some parties to say there were. However the flexi floors most definately were found on the ferraris despite a top ferrari engineer questioning their legality ...

You do follow McLaren don't you or do you just follow ITV's Icon Lewis Hamilton with the Union Jack blowing behind him.

Macca had the data, doesnt matter if they used or not they had it. Simple as.
