Especially political influence.

2002 was a good vintage for F1.

A lot of "fans" were turned away by the Ferrari domination. I agreed with them that it was a bit tedious, but I stuck it through in the knowledge it wouldn't last forever! 8-)

No doubt you'd feel different if it was a McLaren domination. True F1 fans (regardless of who they support) were able to appreciate that they were seeing something special happening that doesn't happen too often or at least that's what I've gathered from other forums.

In those dark years we could all appreciate what money, your own tyre, power and political influence could achieve.

Blame Spanker Mosley. His indiscriminate bed hopping with whichever team was winning was nothing new. Though it is hardly Ferrari's fault if they had all the influence with Bridgestone, especially when the other 2 teams were Jordan and Minardi. As for money, other teams had huge budgets.

Yep, changed times for sure. Your next project will hopefully come along shortly.

But don't worry, there was no danger of me breaking a sweat. Spent the day flying about the yard, unloading a couple of trailers using The Force and continuing to chat up a lassie. A good days work indeed.

Bridgestone had more than just those teams at one point, why do you think McLaren left them for Michelin... A fair go!

Started a new module at uni on Electronics which seems pretty interesting, gonna get to look at KERS and all that stuff in detail at same point, which is neat cause i've been wanting to learn about that in true detail for a while now :)

You know the way things work in life... by the time you get into the business KERS would be taken out of the regulations.

I am hoping not to take THAT long about it :P The way things are going it seems it's just going to get bigger with better KERS systems coming in, with HERS, SERS and any other ERS you can think of probably following soon after... i'm considering specialising in it all, seems a pretty smart move at this point.

KERS has been around for years in one form or another but have only recently started appearing in road cars (top end Audis I think). It'll be around for a good while yet.

the Prius uses KERS doesn't it? A friend is a salesmen for Toyota dealer and said the Toyota Synergy Drive uses Kinetic energy, thats been out for a while.

The Williams/Porsche flywheel solution makes a lot more sense for racing even if for no other reason that it greatly reduces the amount of batteries needed.
