I'd like to see VW buy out marussia when they quit at the end of 2012 since they'll be 12th place after their 3rd year in F1, then VW do with it what red bull did with jaguar. Realistically, I'm a :censored: dumb american so idk wtf you guys are talking about with all this lambo and merc talk, cuz they don't show :censored: here in the U.S. GOD DAMNIT I'M SICK OF THIS f***ing COUNTRY AND THE HIP HOP AND BULL s*** THESE IDIOTS RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT AND THIS RETARD TRAVIS PASTRANA RACING IN THE 24 HOUR RACE RIGHT NOW THESE f***ing *censored* PRICK FAGGOTS my country is in the f***ing ground f***ing six feet under man f*** this s***

With the current economic climate being on a bit of a downward trend in Europe and America (thats the vibe coming from Australian mainstream media anyway) would we expect to see a major manufacturer join the ranks of F1. I highly doubt any major car making manufacturer will spend phenomonal amounts to promote their brand when China is about to put everyone to the sword. Mercedes better deliver this year or otherwise its a case worst than Toyota cause they've got all the right tools to win races.

VW are absolutely huge in China and investing heavily there. Most of the Taxi in Shanghai at least are VW. And the China market is still growing at an amazing rate, even in these times of doom and gloom. Ferrari's only been directly there a couple of years and China is already their 2nd biggest market, behind the US and the fastest growing for them.

Marrusia Virgin - a team suffering from a serious lead deficiency IMO.

It's different for super car makes though their units sold is less and there is always a market for these cars as there is always going to be folk who can afford them even in times of crisis.

I blame China and big companies using cheap labour over there to manufactur their goods.

Didn't know VW were so huge in China, maybe they will consider entering then. But I don't think F1 is really making massive inroads in Asia. I have a feeling, and its a strange one, that single seater racing is going to struggle a bit with this economic downturn and any promoter who has the ability to make an international 2litre touring car series would do well to give us affordable and awesome racing. I'm not saying it would overtake F1 in ultimate popularity but it would do really well to be one of the support classes in an F1 event. I think something like this would be more appealling to a company like VW.

I'd hope they'd come up with a more exciting livery than the one I'd expect from VW... blue and white...

We've had so much dark blue and white on the grid in recent times!
