How do we know this isn't something like the F1 teams or sponsors doing market research?

They wouldnt post it twice especially in the same thread.

Look at the names. Thestyle is the same. I'll wager that the IP address is the same too.

I say so.A team or sponsor wouldnt do that. That is kinda...erm,noobish-i couldnt find a better word  -.

Definately not a team but I find a dissertation in the 3rd year odd. When I was at University these were done in the 4th and final year.

Many degrees only consist of three years.

Out of Curiosity, how did everyone do with the logos? I believe I did well with which were and which weren't in F1 as team sponsors. I knew knew CNN but forgot the team, so I figured the fact that I forgot it meant it was a back marker or low midfield team so I guessed VR.

I don't think I did brilliantly with the logos... :(

CNN sponsor Lotus/Caterham.

To clarify, WB is correct in the US sense as the brightest students can complete their honours in a minimum of 3 years with extra curricular activities, summer classes etc.

In a British sense - the English system and Scottish system for honours is different. The norm in England is 3 years for an honours degree, although it is 4 years for some (a minority), whereas in Scotland the norm is 4 years for an honours degree. Also in Scotland, the most common system for honours is that the 4th year alone is the honours year when the dissertation project is carried out. This has only really become the norm in the past decade though, before that, most universities had 1st and 2nd year as ordinary, and 3rd and 4th year both being used for honours classification (some still do).

In other words - the system used is certainly not the same the world over, and indeed is markedly different between England (& NI & Wales) and Scotland. By far the most common system is 3 years for honours in England, and 4 years with 4th being honours in Scotland.

I knew Mercedes but drew a blank with the rest...

I don't think that I'm the right target for sponsors' advertising.

Thanks ZA, I should have been more specific. Something like the kids that do it in their third year are the ones that are willing to work harder and sacrifice more personal time and have the capacity to do carry a heavier work load over a shorter period of time so it can be done, but certainly at a cost. That or it could have all simply been a cheap laugh.

I did absolutely useless with the logo question. Even the ones Id seen I couldnt remember which car I d seen them on.

I think we probably flatter ourselves if we think the F1 team are bothered about our views.

My course is only a 3 year course so I am doing my dissertation in my final year!

Would you do something no one else has done? Everyone one of these that we get, promises to come back and let us read the results, but they never do. You can be the first to break with tradition!
