- 16 Jan 12, 21:05#288251Reading elsewhere it would appear that nose configuration won't actually be legal next year so i'm taking that image with a pinch of salt... The rules supposedly affect the lowest point of the entire nose rather than just the tip. I thought i'd expect to see more highly sloped 'v' noses similar to what was on the RB5 but according to Scarbs (who no doubt has spent a decent bit of time looking at the regs) these will effectively be rendered illegal too. One thing we could possibly see (if the rules permit, i haven't checked) is a gap in the nose cone like the Ferrari F2008 had, in a bid to get back some lost airflow to the tea tray, barge boards etc.
