Having not hosted any F1 coverage since the end of the 2008 season, ITV have now announced they're closing their F1 website. With this in mind, I took a gander at what the website had to offer, after largely abandoning it from the beginning of 2009. It still looks quite good, and I thought I'd share some interesting articles and features while the site is still in operation.
1) http://www.itv.com/formula1/blogs/the-b ... 2011-9853/
This links to a feature called The Best and Worst on F1 2011, and is similar to my poll summaries, only not as good. Still, there are some amusing awards given out, such as RIDICULOUS STARTLINE SHUNT OF THE YEAR and BIZARRE INTERNET HOAX OF THE YEAR. The latter, of course, refers to the internet sensation that was caused the night prior to the Hungarian GP, when some hacker thought it fit to declare Jenson Button had been severely injured in a road accident....
2) http://www.itv.com/formula1/blogs/the-b ... ture-8752/
Basically the two sides of the of the argument about whether the new rules for 2011 were successful or not. Sums the positives and negatives up quite nicely I think... a good read.
3) http://www.itv.com/formula1/blogs/team- ... card-1764/
Ahh, the good old review of the teams. I love these articles! With a little summary of their season's highs and lows, each team is graded according to their performance. Here's a quick list of the grades:
Red Bull = A*
McLaren = A
Ferrari = C
Mercedes = C
Renault = D
Force India = B
Sauber = C
Toro Rosso = C
Williams = E
Lotus = D
HRT = D
Virgin = E
