If they just open that drawbridge for the race I'd be glued to that TV.

:hehe:

I like the Valencia track as well. It's kind of pretty and I like some of the corners. I think it would be a great track to drive, and it presents a unique challenge for the drivers - particularly when it comes to optimising their lap times.

Hulkenberg and Kubica spoke of some of the reasons why they liked the circuit in this article in 2010: http://www.nzherald.co.nz/motoring/news/article.cfm?c_id=9&objectid=10654299

"This is a street circuit but on some corners you have a lot of run-off and quite a bit of space for a street circuit," said Williams driver Nico Hulkenberg. "Personally I like the track a lot, there is something about it, the way the corners are and the curves and the atmosphere."

Renault's Robert Kubica also likes the circuit.

"(It's a) heavy braking track so a lot of long straight lines ending with heavy braking," he said. "It's very important to have good braking stability and good traction."

True, the race can only really be won in qually, but I don't mind a couple of tracks like that in the season.

As a shock to most the Catalunya track is one of my favourite tracks, particularly as the first race of the European season. It's a track that's decided by how good the cars are aerodynamically. It is the pivitol point in the season where the teams get to really analyse the performance of their car against the others and proceed with plannining future upgrades.

But a terrible circuit is Bahrain.

Why the hate for Singapore? 2010 was a nail biter with vettel right on alonso's @$$ a lot of the way and 2011 had jenson button swiftly closing in on vettel during the closing laps where vettel was saved by traffic that impeded jenson a lot more. I didn't see '08 or '09 but I have not been disappointed by singapore the last two years. There were some spectacular crashes too (not that I hope they happen, but they were theatrical for sure)

Agreed.

I too have no dislike for Singapore. People are blinded by the history and glamour of Monaco, but in reality, Singapore is a BETTER circuit and produces BETTER races. There's more overtaking for a start!

Singapore is better than Monaco, but then so is tuberculosis.

Street circuits don't work for F1 these days.

Unless they are layouts like Melbourne for example :)

Indeed. I'm hoping the new jersey street circuit set for 2013 turns out well

A rare example of a street circuit working for modern F1.

Are you nuts? Singapore doesn't have any political issues....significant ones at least.
