Nothing set in stone as of yet, but the situation looks pretty shaky to me. This is not a circuit I would miss if it were to be removed from the calendar.

All we need to do now is campaign successfully for Barcelona to be scrapped and we're sorted!

Before cleaning up the European calendar, get rid of Bahrain, Abu Dhabi and Singapore (the latter is impossible, "blablabla glamour oh so nice and pretty", but it's a terrible race anyway). We need power in numbers, before Bernie freaks out and decides to crush all European races...

Old news this. I read months ago that the Valencian brass are looking to renegotiate their contract and possibly get out of their race hosting commitments earlier than initially planned or at the very least share their spot on the calander with another venue.

All we need to do now is campaign successfully for Barcelona to be scrapped and we're sorted!

I find that I cannot lend any suport to this ridiculous idea.

Each to their own.

Agree about Abu Dhabi, unless the changes discussed following the race in 2010 actually come to fruition. With regards to Bahrain, I feel without the crap section added in 2010, and with the new regs, the circuit could produce some good racing... there's overtaking opportunities aplenty.

When it comes to Singapore, I've always disagreed with its detractors. For a start, it's no worse than Monaco...

I like Bahrain, but Abu Dhabi, Singapore and Valencia can f*** off. Barcelona should get rid of that stupid chicane.

Why are people hating on the Valencia track? It's a fairly good track to me.

You're pretty much on your own with your opinion :P

Not the only incorrect opinion.

Indeed it is a dire circuit, for F1 at least. I have not seen any other series race on the Valencia street circuit.
