Because otherwise Vet-hell will probably win the next 15 championships in a row.

I loved that nickname for him and plus why not if they give more money or he wants to try something different -except Ferrari-.But he would stay for several more years, then leave the team 'peacefully'.

Now back to our regularly scheduled program: Newey had initially a one yr contract and now has re-upped until 2014 I think, same as Vettel. I could be wrong on some of the facts but I know he re-upped for longer than anyone expected.

As bud said he will get bored again and eventually move on but the question is when and to where or what?

Bernie will invariably dream up rules to stop SV from winning 17 titles in a row because no one will watch the sport after the 8th. One way to do this would be to put in the regs that the car designers must play musical drawing boards and change teams every year.

If adrian wants a challenge he should move to virgin racing. marussia, whatever it is these days.:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

That's not a challenge - that's sheer stupidity!

I do not even see Vettel winning 7 WDC's to match the master MS, $50/US sit's in escrow until Vettels retirement and record are tallied.

That's cheap - 10 years from now when SV might retire, 50 bucks will barely buy you a dinner at some cheapo junk food place.

ESPNF1:

Ferrari has admitted it would like to recruit Adrian Newey in the future if he looks for a new challenge after Red Bull.

Technical director Newey has been integral to Red Bull's success over the past three seasons, with the team having picked up 27 wins, two drivers' and two constructors' championships in that time. Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali said that Red Bull's rise to the front of the grid has shown how important Newey is, and that he would monitor the situation in case he ever became available.

"I think that Adrian Newey showed his capability in a fantastic way in the last couple of years," Domenicali told Sky Sports News. "But what he would like to do in the future, well we will see."

Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo, however, said that recruiting Newey could be difficult because his wife had been unwilling to move to Italy in the past.

"I have confidence in our technical staff," Montezemolo is quoted by La Gazzetta dello Sport. "And furthermore the meeting I had with him (Newey) in 1997 was not exactly positive. The idea that his wife had of Italy was that of some kind of a third world country. But if he were available again and changed his ideas about our country then why not?"

What? His wife doesn't like pasta and vino rosso?

repetition is boring in my opinion! having said that its very unlikely. when vettel doesn't have the best car he will not have the dominance in f1 that he has become used to!

Hopefully the top teams will be closer this season and we can enjoy a battle that goes all the way to the wire!

Having said that, I don't moan when one team dominates... glorious history is still being laid down! Furthermore, domination has always been the case every now and then. Just look how Alfa Romeo kicked things off in the early 50s.
