Alonso and his wife split.

I hope he doesn't have the Hamilton effect.

I'm sure all o this didn't take place in just the few weeks following the season's close in brazil. In other words, he's probably been dealing with this while racing for a while now, and it hasn't seemed to affect his performance.

Then again.. Maybe it has effected his performance, but not publicly like Hamilton. He didn't win the championship. If he comes back stronger with a renewed focus in 2012, that could be a logical scenario.

Also late this year, Alonso gave high praise to Hamilton... Was he in a sense commiserating with him, like "I feel your pain brother, we are gonna wax all of them next year"..

I hope that is the case, cause I would love to see Hamilton and Alonso go at it again (on the track) and fight for the Championship.

Perhaps. As with most things in F1, we'll probably never know for sure. All I can say is that he drove the pants off that Ferrari this year with very few mistakes, which frequently got it to podiums where it did not really belong.

I think too much is made about the personal lives of drivers. When they're in the car, I know they're not thinking about anything else. The issue is when they're out of the car and all of the other problems of life close in and a driver's support mechanism is broken or non existent.

As far as the Ferrari podiums are concerned, there were 4 cars faster than the Ferrari, given Hamilton's year and Webber's nonexistence, (maybe something personal with him as well?) there was room for a Ferrari in a podium slot often.

I want to see not only Alonso and Hamilton fight it out, but Button and Rosberg and Kimi and everyone else that can get a car under them with the capacity to win. This year was over in August, ask the bookies.

Did I mention Raquel is cute?

Did you get my suggestion for a good Christmas gift for the man that has everything? Is it too late for Alonso and his wife?

Why wasn't Alonso ever given grief for having relations with a pop star?

Probably because no-one has heard of her... I certainly hadn't, but saying that I didn't even know Alonso was married... Let's be honest I couldn't care less about drivers personal lives.

Now she is attractive. Far more so I think than Nicole.

Yeah that's one area I'd readily agree where Jenson is more talented than Lewis - his taste in women. It's not just Jessica, I thought one of his ex's by the name of 'Louise' was something special as well.
