......

The technology is already in use and processing hydrogen is apparently no more harmful than processing petrol.

To get the Hydrogen you need to put in more energy than the burning of the hydrogen will return, that energy has to come from somewhere whether it's fossil fuels or nuclear.

Solar, wind, etc.

I'd love to say yes but I think that's a bit ambitious. Imagine a number of cars in a country that you want to run off solar power, to do that directly you cover the cars in solar panels (you've seen how well those cars perform) If you take the surface area of all those cars and make a solar farm to produce hydrogen, the amount of hydrogen that can be produced will return less useful energy than the directly powered solar cars, ok so the solar farm doesn't have the problems with the shape of the car and can be a bit more efficient but still, you're gonna be driving around in a plastic tube on 4 bicycle wheels.

There are deserts in the US with loads of sunshine - solar farms would be viable there if their product was hydrogen that can be easily transported very far w/o losses in overall efficiency (unlike electrical power).

For the more European-minded people on here: the Libyan desert (1.1m square kilometers) would be a great place at least geographically with regard to climate (not so much politically). Cover about a 10th of that desert with solar panels and Europe would have enough energy/hydrogen for its needs.
Also see this article I just found - hydrogen could be the solution for the problems of transporting the solar energy

Scrap Barcelona and Valencia for a start, and replace the Spanish GP with a race elsewhere in the country... Jerez maybe?? Organise a reworking of the Abu-Dhabi circuit.

Then, I'd make sure Monza, Spa, Suzuka, Silverstone, Interlagos and Montreal were prevented from EVER dropping off the calendar. Bring back the A1 / Red Bull Ring.

I would make sure Ferrari weren't paid more than the teams which beat them in the championship.

Make sure full live F1 coverage was available on free-to-air TV in the UK.

Unlimited tyres for qualifying / qualifying tyres.

Oh I could go on and on.....

Not bad but I would keep Barcelona as it is a good track according to the teams and the drivers (but what would they know?). I'd leave Abu Dahbi as it is as it's pretty good. Ditch Silverstone as it's one of the worst tracks ever. Ban Ferrari and McLaren for the next 500 years, re-hash the areo regs get rid of gimmicks like KERS, DRS and fragile tyres and get rid of FOTA (which is happening anyway so that's one less task for me).

Barcelona's crap. Silverstone is magic.

Fixed. :D

Didnt need fixing thanks all the same. DONT mess with my quotes like that!!

100,000 apologies.

:director: It's NOT cool to alter quotes of other members. :nono:
Please refrain from doing so. :soapbox:

Carry on.

Fair enough but I'm not the first to do this.

I know - guess you did it to the wrong person :P

Scrap Korea, Bahrain and Catalunya for Jerez.

Keep Hockenheim as German GP with Nurburgring as European GP (no more Valencia).

Also, what can there be done about stopping drivers like Maldonado getting a seat purely because of money?

Not much at the moment, what with the huge costs of competing...
