As for Bahrain, it may enjoy a fairly decent race next season if it goes ahead, taking into account the removal of that crap section they added in 2010, and also the new regs. There's overtaking opportunities aplenty.

No surprises there, although any race can still be removed from the calendar at the behest of the teams or Bernie Ecclestone... it seems nothing is set in stone in F1 these days!

It's only the anticipated calander and works on the assumption that all races will be able to go ahead as planned. Austin will depend on how many more arguments the organisers have with themselves and Bahrain will depend on the political situation.

Sad, sad, sad day. My daughter's high school graduation is the weekend of June 9th. Would I be a horrible father if I missed it just so I can go to Montreal again?

I couldn't live with the guilt. Rationalize... rationalize... I got it, I'll just have to make up for it the following year and go to both Montreal AND New Jersey.

You wouldn't be a horrible father if you were missing it for a real reason (work committments that you couldn't get out of, illness, death or outbreak of WW3) but to go and watch an F1 race that'll be hosted again 365 days later you could well go down in the fathering stakes. You can go back to Montreal as much as you like but you'll only get one chance to see your daughter graduate from High School and you'll end up wishing you went - the simple question is: which is more important, your daughter or F1? Personnally, I would go for the graduation and would move heaven and hell to make sure I could go to the graduation(s) of any children I may have in the future. To say that they are a load of pomp and boringness is total and utter bovine manure (ok it's a ceremony, but it's an important milestone).

If your daughter wants you to be there, then go. Furthermore, you'll feel ever so proud watching her graduate and begin the next step.

These are wise words. Each moment in your children's life is unique, and much more valuable than any F1 race will ever be.

Do some research WB and find a school that has a different date for their graduation party - then move your daughter there, even a boarding school if need be

Does your daughter want you to go to it badly? If she's anything like me, go to the race...

I saw my own graduation as a big fuss...I just wanted to get my certificate and get out and celebrate with my mates instead of listening to boring speeches from the lecturers. My parents made it a way bigger fuss than I did, I even told them they don't have to waste their time. Its not like I had any doubts about being able to graduate anyway.
