Fraid so. No special treatment, thats how the FIA got in the mess they're in now. 8) If some upstart from India enters the race he should have exactly the same rights and chances to win as anyone else entering and that includes fair representation.

The FIA aren't in a mess, the only people who hate Max are angry McLaren Fans.

(bud appears from nowhere and replies)

On the voting issue, it's just not fair for a new team to have the same voting rights as a team that's been in F1 since the very first race.

What do they know about F1? Their vote means nothing...

The voting should be weighted, the Voting Matrix should be made up of things like:

Time spent in F1.
Results on track.
Budget.

However it should be fair and measured.

Common sense dictates Ferrari should have most of the voting rights, let's say 25%, then it should be a sliding scale down do lets say 5%.

No voting allowing in the first 3 years.

Something like that seems fair.

How in the hell did this positive topic turn into another one of 'those thread's'?
deMure regardless of a team's history or year's in F1 every team is an intregal part of the overall plan. Hey nobody's more of a tifosi than I am but to say that Ferrari or any other long term participant should have more voting right's or pull than any other team is ludicrous and a detrement to every other team and the overall good of the sport.

Well for one,any succesful person knows that if you dont come in first you lose. And seeing how 'sir ron' LOST last years championship by not being able to coach precious little Lewy to better negotiate track position in the last race...and then losing his best driver (2 time world champion) AND having been fined an ungodly amount of money all while losing pit row position and space...id say he has a couple of things to be bitter about...Though i will not argue that Max-a-million is far more bitter; eventually Mclaren may need to relize maybe the Dennis dictatorship is not the most effective way to run a team now days.

Lewis WAS A ROOKIE IN 07 AND HE PUSH LAZY DRANKEN KIMI ALL THE WAY......LEWIS JUST GETTING STARTED.

One of what threads?

It's absolutely crazy to entertain the idea that a brand new team has equal voting rights over a team that's been in F1 from the start.

The voting system is flawed anyway, this is a moot point, Ferrari will just buy votes in exchange for better engine deals. AKA Sauber.

I do see the point your making deMure but aren't we looking for equality amongst the FIA ?

Demures points are making the people who claim the FIA are biased and fraudulent more and more accurate ;) Cheers mate!
Wheres the FIA's Fair play ztar?

and Demure your point about a brand new team having voting rights compared to a old timer team is a load of crap!As the FIA have double standards..
They have made voting into a nationality based affair with one team per nation being allowed to vote Ie Ferrari represent Italy leaving the only other team Torro Rosso out, BMW represent Germany Redbull represent Austria, and guess who gets the UK? not the oldest UK constructor in McLaren but Williams. Another dig by Max and this was prior to the spy scandal ;)

Another example of Ferrari buying votes is when they bought votes with Redbull Racing
when the teams voted for the one tyre rule to change with Redbull being the only Michelin team to vote against keeping the one tyre per race rule ;)

Sigh, it's not fraudulent, it's the real world, it's called politics...

All you McLaren Fans are playing the righteous card because Ron Dennis is as politically savvy as a rotten potatoe...

Sorry Stud, couldn't resist...

I personally don't think equality will ever be achieved and I'm just lucky I like the team who play the game off the track as well as they do on the track...

They are not cheats, they just know how to play the game...

I had to google that term stud!

To be honest I think Bernie's looked after Ferrari and in turn they've looked after him.

Or is it the other way around? I'm not sure.

I remember Bernie hugging Michael Schumacher on the pit wall and getting on ITV and saying Ferrari deserve special treatment because they are special.

I think we'll have to wait for Bernie and Max to leave before you guys will ever get this equality you are looking for.

Heck I quit my last job in Australia because my collegue bottom kissed my manager something chronic and he got the nod for team leader instead of me. I was better at my job but he played the game better.

Oh my god, in real life I'm RON DENNIS!!!

(now where's that suicide note?)

We have the technical regulations and race rules which apply to everyone. That's fair enough for me.

I don't think Ferrari have been handed any special on-track privelidges, off the track however yes, cross them and the FIA will hit you into next week...

It's natural Bud, you look after your mates.
