Even though I dislike the guy, Maldanado has proved his critics wrong this season. He was supposed to be a pay driver who's just Rubens shadow but instead he managed to overshadow Rubens! Quite impressive really...this guy might deserve a better seat in terms of driving potential, but he's a bit of a nut case on the track when he's pissed off. Not only the Spa incident, I think he collided with someone else on purpose during a race, can't remember the incident though.

OK, well let's hope he shows a bit more respect for his fellow racing drivers next season, whether it be letting them lap him without fuss, or refraining from causing purposeful collisions when not even racing / qualifying.

I don't know why Force India would get rid of Sutil in 2012.

So I'm predicting that Di Resta is given the flick - in a sort of similar fashion to Hulkenburg this year. Di Resta would have one year as a test driver with a team, maybe Mercedes? And then perhaps serve as Schumi's replacement come 2013 (although I can't remember if Schumi has a contract for then or not.)

I like the idea of Mercedes for Di Resta in the long term. With Schumi's past involvement with touring cars... And Di Resta's, it seems a perfect match.

But for FI to get rid of Sutil? It doesn't make sense. FI have been progressing forward on the grid ever since they joined F1 (they used to be backmarkers). I think a Sutil/Hulkenburg combination would be fantastic for FI and their next step in development/progression towards consistent podiums.

No not yet. But these "Sutil exit rumour" news items just have me a tad concerned. Force India's solution needs to have Sutil in it. So whether they drop Di Resta and go for Hulkenburg - or whether Hulkenburg leaves is the really the burning question for me next year.

When I look at his junior career results , I think it's a crying shame that he isn't on the grid - racing. And then you have guys like Mal- oh, probably best not start that rant again.

So - if Force India do decide to keep Di Resta - Hulkenburg goes... where?? Renault seems the only place or we see the back of him. I doubt we'll see him go back to Williams... HRT perhaps?
