Lewis wants to re sign with McLaren once his current contract runs out. Guess any feelings of favouritism aren't being picked up by him... Just some of his fans.

just the same as Ron Dennis preferred Lewis over Alonso/Kovalainen. [/i]

Someone has never heard of negotiations.
How would you know if he is in no hurry? Do you work for either Hamilton or Whitmarsh or are you just guessing?
Wouldn't you say if his team mate was being favoured he'd want out ASAP?

Not if he's a masochist - one never knows, could be an after effect of his Honda years...

He's never driven for Honda.

Oops, was thinking of JB - duh!
Lewis Hamilton is "confident" about about signing new contract with McLaren.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/formula ... 928246.stm"I don't think there's any question of my commitment to the team," the 26-year-old said. "I just want to continue on this path."
Asked whether he thought it was likely he would stay, Hamilton replied: "I do. I'm confident about that."

I still stand by my belief that Lewis will wait and see how the McLaren shapes up pace wise with RBR for 2012 before he re-signs with his current team. If they remain consistently 0.3 (or worse) off the pace then I think a question mark must be raised about his long term future with the team. I notice in the same story he says all his focus is on 2012.

I just can't see the RBR thing happening. I never have, right from the word go. That team must be looking towards the likes of Ricciardo or people like that, to step in when Webber bows out. That's what I feel anyway.
Ron did not constantly wax lyrical about Lewis over Alonso, not until Alonso blackmailed McLaren.
