I wouldn't be too sure. Alonso and Kubica are pretty pally with each other so the question is will he screw a friends career prospects for his own gain ie. get a team-mate who is less of a threat?

It's interesting. It's unlike the Scuderia to place to top talents next to one another. Could such a miracle possibly take place?

It's just a rumour at the moment so I wouldn't get excited just yet. However, assuming Kubica is fully fit, has lost none of his confidence and is just as fast as he was previously Alonso is in for a shock.

Some people completely loose it after a large accident. He bounced back from Montreal '07, but that was hardly on this scale. I hope he does come back at any rate. He deserves a car that can help him add to that tally of just 1 win.

This is an issue, you seem to be posting for the sake of it and most of it is t****. Read my bolded area again and read your last paragraph....from now on read, re-read and take a deep breath before hitting the post button okay matey? :whip:

I have told you before that if you don't like it don't read it. My opinion obviously causes you so much anguish and upset, the sensible thing would be for you to either ignore what I write or (if you can't or don't want to do that) add me to your foes list on your profile and you won't see my comments ever again, and problem solved everyone's happy.

I mean, you do know I' don't care about whatever meaningless point you're trying to make so probably best you stop and find someone else to have a lengthy and pointless argument with as I am simply not interested.

:director: You two stop your private love fest and cool it or we make you cool down

with the talk of Renault... I mean Lotus signings not including Kubica my initial thought was Kube to Ferrari. Was hoping 2012 but not sure he can have 2 years off and jump straight into a top team.

Alain Prost and Nigel Mansell partnered each other in 1990. And Mansell ended up going off in a huff.

Personally I have some doubts we will ever see Kubica back to his best so if he went to Ferrari he might still just end up as Alonso's new lackey, but surely he could do better than Massa.

I thought Mansell was permanently in a huff or maybe he was just a miserable git.

Pedro de la Rosa... king of the midfield. Well, you've got to praise his passion for F1... but we probably won't see much of him in the Spanish team (Spanish driver - Spanish team will have had something behind the deal).

I've got a lot of time for Pedro though, and I think he was unfairly dropped from Sauber in 2010. He'll also be excellent for HRT, because his time as a test driver with McLaren (who he once scored a podium for in Budapest) will be invaluable to such a young team.

De La Rosa was really off the pace in the Sauber. He can be a good choice for HRT though, by helping to develop the car with his experience - but he needs a a fast teammate to profit from said better car.

I've now read that Vergne is among the favourites for a full-time Toro Rosso drive next year, whilst Ricciardo's future is in doubt:

http://www.foxsports.com.au/motor-sports/formula-one/formula-one-hopeful-jean-eric-vergne-says-he-would-do-no-worse-than-webber-if-given-a-drive/story-e6frf3zl-1226202017912

Formula One hopeful Jean-Eric Vergne has claimed he "would do no worse than Webber" if given a drive with the Red Bull squad in 2013.

The 2011 F1 season so far in pictures

Vettel's Run to the Championship
Mark Webber has had the best point-scoring season of his career, but has failed to win a race as teammate Sebastian Vettel dominated the 2011 Formula One season.

Fellow Aussie Daniel Ricciardo was test driving for Toro Rosso in Friday practice before he was elevated to a race drive with Hispania Racing Team.

Since then, Vergne has tested on Fridays and says he is now in the box seat for the next Red Bull/Toro Rosso race drive.

"When I came back [from Yas Marina] I saw the comments of engineering boss Ian Morgan and they were very positive, I cannot hide it," Vergne told Le Nouvel Observateur.

"I know that the top teams are cautious of young drivers; the only one that dared to go with a young guy recently was McLaren with Hamilton, and it worked.

"We have had a similar preparation; I did three days of testing and physically had no problems. So I think if I was put in the Red Bull, I would do no worse than Webber.

“But I know that the road is still long and where I go next is Brazil. This is my last practice session with Toro Rosso before I know what I will be doing next season."

Ricciardo's future with HRT faces a potential hurdle with the announcement that Spaniard Pedro De la Rosa will race for the Spanish F1 team in 2012 and 2013.

No announcement has yet been made regarding the future of Ricciardo or his teammate Vitantonio Liuzzi.

Of course I regard this as pot stirring. But it looks like Brazil will be Liuzzi's last race - I can't see him possibly moving forward in the field. Unless of course, Liuzzi is signed, and then we have the same issues at Toro Rosso again next year with the driver positions getting clogged.

And if Buemi wins in Brazil... :P:wavey:
