Honda are in nearly as unstable a predicament today as they were in 2008 when their market position and the state of the world economy prompted them to bail unexpectedly from F1. In 2008, they were bottoming out from a 2-year long slide. Today, their stock value is down 30% since February, a 9-month slide even more precipitous than the 2006-2008 decline.

Plus, it has been ages since the Honda F1 engine made competitive power. In their final three years as a constructor, they had just one win and four podium results. Honda management are a notoriously conservative lot and I think they would regard a return to F1 at this moment as entirely too speculative.

Ah, but I am not a McLaren fan I support certain drivers, it just happens that one of those drives for McLaren right now...Incidently a driver who I supported at the time won the title
