2011 has been an incredibly long, albeit enjoyable, F1 season. In a week and a half, we bring the curtain down on this year's action with a race at the much-liked Interlagos circuit, with its vibrant crowds of noisy and passionate fans.

The title may have been sewn up a while ago, but this track never disappoints. Let's hope F1 2011 ends with a thriller! Here's to round 19 at Brazil!!! :drink:

I'm hoping for anyone to win apart from Sebastian Vettel; maybe this will be Mark Webber's time to shine this season, but given the 18 races that went before, it's unlikely. A Jenson Button win would make me very happy, being a self confessed fan n'all, a great way to top off an excellent season and we know that Jenson likes it here, and with his new more aggressive overtaking method, should be fun going through the first complex of corners. Lewis Hamilton has a decent chance of winning this race should he manage to avoid contact with anyone.

Unfortunately I think it might be Vettel's to lose. The McLaren is the only car which can challenge but they need these smooth flat surfaces to play on...look at their wins, Shanghai, Suzuka, Nurburgring, Abu Dhabi..

Brazil typically very bumpy, and who can forget how both Redbulls simply creamed the pack last year. This year with an even more dominant car, we need more magic like Abu Dhabi's 1-2nd corners to make the race win exciting.

I don't think you can use Abu Dabi as an example of the flat tracks the Maclarens like to play on because Vettel was going to run away with it before his tire left him.
But other than that I agree.
I find it a bit odd the 2nd Red Bull and the second Ferrari have not won anything. I hope one of them does this season. I forget, who among our usual suspects has a hisory of shining here?

Red Bull is not that dominant like on the end of the last season. And even then it wasn't that much dominant, just more reliable...

Little wonder seeing as Red Bull stopped developing this years car a while back and McLaren are still going on with theirs.

Mclaren have struggled at this circuit for some while now. 2010, 2009, 2008, 2007, 2006 all yielded relatively off the pace speed for the car. Albeit 2008 yielded a bit of last gasp sweetener. No..you have to go back to 2005 for when they last did well here when a certain Adrian Newey was designing the car.

Interlagos is a good circuit for sure. But I always think of it as being a Newey circuit too. Wins for his car in 1992, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2005, 2009 and 2010. And would probably have won in 1993, 1995 and 2000 but for unforseen circumstances.

Perhaps Vettel's lucky star is on the wane and Webber can pull this one out of the bag.

I can't actually see anyone other than Vettel winning this, barring something crazy in the vein of '09 qualifying. At least my expectations for an good fight for the win for once are set extremely low...
