Let me see, Vettel starts from pole, makes over a second lead by the time the DRS gets turned on.

Button laps like a metronome and turns up at the end in second place.

Massa and Hamilton have an argument and ruin each others race.

Webber starts close to the front and is 6th by the 1st corner and then becomes an also ran.

Alonso it all depends on how he feels as to where he finishes.

Rosberg will qualify 7th

Schumacher if nothing goes wrong will qualify behind Nico and finish in front of him.

The Force India's can not be bothered to waste fuel or tires in Q3 so they see out the top 10.

At the back of the grid will be Heikki ahead of Jarno "the power steering is crap" Trulli.

Followed by the Virgins and the HRT's

So who else will be loose in Q1... I would say a Williams

some of these were freakishly accurate.

Bold ones turned out accurate, with minor adjustments in brackets. Damn good effort, I'd say.

Lame race... You have the fastest driver and then puncture... I hate when it goes that way... But, at least Kobayashi had a good race...

It was indeed. Even viewed at high speed it was boring as hell. I'm going to buy a tin of paint and paint a wall so I can watch it dry and get the excitement fix that I should have got yesterday.

I am a fan of Vettel, I don't care if race is boring or not. But, when you look at the data and see that Vettel didn't finish only 2 races in more than a year, and both were with mechanical failures, that's just not right... And he scored points in every damn race since then...

No, but I also remember you saying a lot of things... Do you want to be like that?

Anyway, at least Hamilton has his performance back (without Vettel), but it's nice to see him do good again.

Well, Hamilton's fans were spitting on every race he didn't finish...

Some are fanboys yeah that's right. You want to be like that?

The boot is on the other foot now so us Vettel/Red Bull fans are now sounding like the Hamilton/McLaren fans have done all season. Boring ain't it?

It's all good banter. I think resident Hamilton supporter at work is managing the back shift today so hopefully the banter will continue. I'll tell him that Hamilton or McLaren have been disqualified and watch him scramble for his i-phone thing in blind panic. :hehe: It's all good.

to be fair, it is what has happened at almost every race this year. However I did not expect both Williams to do so well in qualifying.

True to my word I didnt watch the race live as I thought the race would be boring, but also because I was doing something else at the time. After I knew the result I watched the highlights as wanted to see how Hamilton had won it. Shame Vettel went out as it would have been interesting to see if he ran off into the distance again. Regardless Hamilton did a very controlled race, seeming to only keep as much of a distance to Alonso as needed to help with tyre wear. Again this is why I dont like the new tyres as we dont get to see the drivers push through the whole race, but then I think they would still be reigned in by the size of their fuel tanks. Hopefully he has now turned a corner in this troubled season, I guess we will know for sure after the next race and perhaps he needs to invite his mum to that one too!
In the highlights show on the quali report they showed Hamiltons interview where he openly wondered where Red Bull and Vettel suddenly get their pace from in Q3 and how it might not be there next year, and then Ted Kravitz clarified during his voiceover of the grid lineup that Lewis put this down to increased use of the blown diffuser. Until the clarification it almost sounded like they were suggesting there might be something illegal about Vettels car.
Its hard to tell watching highlights how exciting the race was live, but there seemed to have been a fair bit going on during the race particularly between Button and Webber. Not sure what Red Bull were up to with Webber's strategy though!
