F1 championship 06 was released on PS3 this year(2007) usually they release the F1 car sets after the season has been done and dusted.
Heard that Sony's F1 contract has run out so might get a game thats multi console based. which will make the PS3 users like myself suffer

Sony didn't renew, word is EA got the license and an F1 '08 will be out this year on all major formats.

Nah, it'll probably be virtually identical on PS3 and 360

I'm hoping they'll release it on PS2, because I'm not forking out monies for a PS3 just for that...

Also, what happened to the '07 version?

It was canceled so they had time to make Championship Edition. To be honest, I was expecting them to at least release the 2007 season as a download for CE

Shame. I imagine UK sales of the 2007 version would've been huge, given the effects of Hamilton-mania. Imagine if he'd won at Silverstone... Sony would've made a lot on that one.

I hope it comes on out on Xbox360, because the online game modes will be endless, and much more fun racing.

I just hope it doesn't turn into what most 360 racing games have become online.. Which is just banger racing!

Anyone know what the release date would be? It had better not be at the end of the season like previously. Nothing worse than releasing the game and then all the driver lineups change. Also you should be able to change driver names/teams or trade drivers. A better edit mode on F1 08 please! When will I be able to race as Webber for Red Bull???
