Its weird to think back to the days when Red Bull had to fight so hard to keep a Sauber behind them.

They didn't have Newey back then, he brings 2 seconds to the team apparently.

I fixed it for you ...

Didn't need fixing, it was reference to a previous thread about Vettel being 2 seconds faster than his team mates...also for not but your one post you would realise editing someone's quote is not allowed.

OK guys, I know this is from that awful, wretched tabloid known as "The Sun" ( :vomit: ), but I love the context anyway. A pleasurable read

LEWIS HAMILTON plans to avoid another crash with Felipe Massa on Sunday — by leaving him for dust on the track.
Brit ace Hamilton has clashed SIX times with his bitter Formula One foe during a wretched season.

But he reckons that has been caused by qualifying too close to his plodding rival, who is fighting to keep his Ferrari seat.

And Hamilton wants to put that right in Abu Dhabi this weekend as he looks to finish the campaign with a double win.

The McLaren racer, 26, admitted: "I've put myself in some awkward situations where I've been further behind than I really should be.

"At the last race in India, I should have been second on the grid and I wouldn't have been anywhere near Felipe if that was the case.

"And in many other races, like Singapore and Monaco, I should have been higher up the grid but I wasn't.

"I know the car is quick enough, so I've just got to avoid making any mistakes."

Hamilton was hit with a three-place grid penalty in Delhi after ignoring warning flags in practice, putting him fifth alongside Massa.

He saw his peace bid snubbed by the Brazilian before the race and soon after Massa turned in on Hamilton as he tried to overtake.

The Herts-born speed ace needs a strong finish in the final two races if he is to overhaul team-mate Jenson Button, who he trails by 38 points.

Fifth-placed Hamilton said: "I'm determined to end the season on a winning high.

"I've won two grands prix this season and I'd love to double that by the end of the year."

It's true if he doesn't get out of position he won't need to worry about weeman.

Singapore = Qualified well, out of position at 1st corner and met up with Crier

Monaco = Stupid qualifying strategy by McLaren

Suzuka = We all know the stupidity by McLaren again there.

India = Lewis' mistake, and got penalized.

All these instances had him meet up with Crier....basically meaning Crier is bringing the rear of the Top 6 in every race. Ferrari should wake up, and hire someone else to be a better No.2 for Alonso.

Even then, if he pits from the lead while Massa is back in 6-10th, he could come out near him.

The only real way to ensure Massa stays out of the way involves a few of these:

You can clearly see that car number 3 caused that spin.

Car no.3, or that faulty object located between the steering wheel and the overhead airbox.

Massa needs to prove himself next year....great things are expected of him. Says Montezemelo. He's given Ferrari a 6 out of 10 for this years performance...it would have been a 5 but for the Silverstone win. Badly interpretted rules, not enough risk taking(in the car design)

Oh I hate to seem cruel, but it really doesn't seem at all likely that Massa will live up to those expectations...

Ferrari said the same to Massa before this season. Fact is, he's fulfilling his role of being no risk to King Alonso.

I think the risk Montezemelo was referring to was risk taking by being radical on car design. But you're absolutely right about why he's still there. It suits Alonso, which suits Ferrari. And actually to be fair I think also they feel some loyalty to Massa since his accident, there's no doubt he's a different driver...person even, since that day.
