Can anyone tell me what the Mclaren boys are wearing and why? They look daft, bring back the white suits will you, or put them back in the black ones.

They've been wearing fancy overalls for qualifying all year. I think it is some competition for fans to design their outfits or something like that. I'm not rightly sure though.

Yes you are correct. Hugo Boss for its 30th year as parter with McLaren lets the fans from each Country that race is being held at, to design the overalls for Qualifying.

It's quite a good venture I think. More interaction with the fans the better.

They'll be back to normal next season.

The overalls today reminded me of the kit worn (or used to be worn) during the 1 day test matches. Looked like PJs.

I assumed with the blue and yellow they wre trying to look like Red Bull. Didn't help much.

Next year's contest will have fans helping to design their car. They'll take a tenth wherever.

I'm confused, what constitutes a 'winning design'? The best looking, or worst looking overalls? From what I've seen so far, all of them have been hideous, and this one at Abu Dhabi takes the cake by far.

Those blue overalls look terrible... Getting a bit sick of the helmet changing and overalls promotions. Seems to me that the marketing, always an important part of the sport, is getting a little out of control.
