A racing car that does not win, is just art
I have noticed that some people have asked how things are pronunced. Has anyone got any good stories about mispronunciation of something that is embarassing?
I have 2 stories the 1st one is that I bought something on ebay, (this was before I had a sat nav) so off I went to pick it (I am a cheapskate and did not want to pay the postage) After getting lost I decided to stop and ask for directions.
The man looked at me blankly and said he had no idea where "By-Chest-Er" was.
It turns out that Bichester is Bis-star.

the other story I will save til later

Americans mispronouncing words and seeing letters in words that are not there really annoys the hell out of me. IT'S TOMATO, NOT TOMAYTOE!!!!
