In case any of you missed it - Alex Zanardi (some of you will know he's one of my all time favourite drivers) won the handcycle class in the New York Marathon yesterday. If anybody with a severe physical disability either naturally or as a result of an accident / injury is looking for a role-model / inspiration, they really need to look at this man.
Now 45, and having come back to racing after his horrendous accident, losing both legs, to score podiums in the WTCC every year from 2005 to 2009, and indeed win races in four of those five years, and subsequently having taken up handbike racing seriously and winning a few more minor races to now win one of the biggest races in the world.
