Brundle and particularly Coulthard show bias, ive said this before. They didnt even debate a penalty for Massa, only for Lewis. I think the bias in F1 is disgusting. Why is coulthard reporting on a race when he is employed by one of the competitors?

And you aren't biased for lewis? You are laughable.

Massa most certainly F'd up, but YOU need to remember just who you are talking about here, and how absolutely ridiculous you sound right now. Two british drivers, both very much fans of mclaren. You might be forgetting that they don't get the fancy camera angles on a moments notice. How many times have you heard them start commenting on something and the director switches to something else and they are just left in the cold.

Red Ferrari - Red Bull. It's all so clear. Mass corruption right down the grid. Any car that has a red part in its colour scheme is in cahoots with Ferrari except McLaren for a reason I have yet to make up, I mean discover.

LOL WTF is up with David, during the race he was actually defending Lewis and it was Brundle who was going against him!! No joke, I remember this very well....David was saying Massa turned in on him as if he wasn't there...and Brundle countered with "But where was he supposed to go...."

DC does make some valid points, its not really the best overtaking place. But regardless I still feel Massa knew Lewis was there and should have given more room. You can't just take your line when the other car is there.

I think if the roles were reversed most on here would say: what was FM thinking to try an overtake there? Way too optimistic and thus deserving of a penalty!
But since it's LH and we're used to his taking no prisoner style, we accept it as a valid overtaking attempt when it maybe shouldn't be...

I don't think so, I don't like to hypothesise especially about peoples emotions. All I know its not the best place to overtake but I think Lewis was far enough up for Massa to have not just turned in like he wasn't there.

Actually i think the main thing is that Hamilton is very fair when defending, and he would have yielded, so the accident wouldn't have happened.

To be honest, as good and true as Herbert's words are, he is merely stating the obvious. There's no debate. It's as clear as day when you watch the replays.

Good decision by Johnny and the stewards.

As for role-reversal, I doubt Massa would've been in a position to find himself OVERTAKING anyone, given his recent form

I was going to say it was Massa's fault, just based on what i've read. But watching the replay... its anyone's guess. Hamilton was coming in on Massa, but he was definitely not even nearly ahead, nor had made the pass.

The stewards have all the angles and stuff... and maybe the "avoidable" part is what they based themselves on...

Racing incident. They're both idiots really.

Bit harsh on Massa but excellent assessment but sadly the race stewards seem to have forgotten that racing incidents happen and seem obsessed with aportioning blame in every single incident.

I dunno if it's so harsh on Massa, i mean, given the number of scuffles they've had on track this season alone surely they both should have learnt by now what the other guy is likely to try. Yet apparently neither of them have...

Oh come on, so what was Hamilton supposed to do, just follow him around the track and NOT attempt an overtake?

He got a penalty in practice, and got a bad start and ended up behind Massa while being a lot faster - obviously he needs to OVERTAKE the guy. He saw the opportunity and took it, Massa closed the door (being blind and stupid), how is that Hamilton being dumb? Talk sense will you.

Hamilton has raced Massa enough that he should know by now that Massa will just shut the door unless the move is 100% on. If he just half sticks it up the inside like that and so many previous times, the door will shut because Massa won't just yield! Gotta learn! They've had so many collisions now it's just ridiculous. But i'm guessing you're going to tell me every single one of those was 100% Massa's fault now.
